How do you say "Where is..."

Where is a place or How do you find.

Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I found a great site that has a list of Japanese phrases.

You could say:
Where is the __________ -- __________ wa doko desu ka?
EXAMPLE: Where is the telephone? -- Denwa wa doko desu ka?

or

Excuse me, I am lost. I do not speak Japanese. Please show me how to get __________ . --Suminasen, michi ni mayoi mashita. Nihongo o hanasemasen. __________ e no ikikata o oshiete kudasai.

These phrases might also be helpful:
Where is it? -- Doko desu ka?
Please show me -- Misete kudasai
Where is the toilet? -- Toire wa doko desu ka?

I also found a audio of "where is" (It's a .wav file so it wont play here automatically):
http://japanese.about.com/library/media/audio/dokodesuka.wav
It is written as ~ wa doko desuka. or ~はどこですか。
For a great audio resource, check out:

This might be more that what you are looking for, but I also found some instructional videos on YouTube:
Japanese Basic, Series I - Where Is It? (this one is lengthy at 29:36)

According to Google Translate "Where is Tokyo?" is: 東京ってどこ?
"How do I find Tokyo?" is: どうすれば東京を見つけるのですか?
