you want garlic butter do what I do, I use garlic powder ( not garlic salt) and soften butter and mix, do it all to taste, you can even add some italian seasoning.Hope it helps.

It would have been a better answer to find a link about roasting garlic. The question was not about how to make garlic butter, but how to roast garlic. The taste difference between roasted garlic and garlic powder is significant.
