How do you read your Twitter Feed?
Since we're talking about Twitter, feel free to plug your feed so us Mahaloians can all get connected.

Trillian has actually changed in the past couple of years, coming from being a bloated multi IM client to a streamlined pheonix of a wonderful MicroBloggin and communication powerhouse.
With not only Twitter and Multi IM client support it also has added Facebook support.
Trillian supports other plugins that just expand its functionality and supported services (Such as Bonjour and Rendevous) .
And on top of all this, Trillian Astra keeps a log of my twitter feed, my facebook feed and my direct messages.
And with the Avion Pro skin it's become even 100 times better.

EDIT:
I should note that the Avion pro skin has been updated to version 1.2 and is fully compatible with Trillian Astra 4.1 Pro Build 14.
In addition to Trillian Astra I also use Zenbe to integrate all of my communication services and E-Mail .
Zenbe allows me to keep track of my twitter feed directly inside the web app, allows me to see ALL tweets from twitter .
( The _ENTIRE_ Twitter feed )
So I can see the entire public twitter feed list, not just my own.
Which could be invaluable in a public emergency.
Kind Regards,
@XDS

I really dont want to mess up my twitter , i wanna keep it simple .

M$As mentioned before, the audible alerts of Twhirl can be quite annoying and distract me from whatever I may be doing at the time. Aside from the fact, that Twhirl still has numerous glitches that cause it to go down from time to time and is a pain to add new people.
I appreciate the tips mentioned here. Since I use Firefox browser nearly 100 percent of the time, I will look into TwitterFox and the TwitterBar. That could come in handy. I also rely a lot on my RSS feeds, and like the idea of being able to incoporate my Digg or StumbleUpon accounts, rather than having to go back and log in to everything repeatedly.
Trillian certainly seems noteworthy as well, and I like the idea of being able to put all of my social networking, IM, and email applications together. I will certainly give these a whirl and hopefully, I can say goodbye to my Twhirl.
Oh, and while I am certainly not the most interesting Tweeter in the world, every now and then, I do say something profound, and if you don't want to miss it, you can add me at: http://twitter.com/kelraye78

M$On my Blackberry, I use TwitterBerry.
From my laptop at home I prefer to use Seesmic Desktop.
I find Seesmic to be the most useful because I can make groups of people I am following, allowing me to not miss important tweets. For example, tech, photography, games... etc. It lets you check multiple accounts and even has Facebook integration.

I follow a bunch of news sources as well as some comedians and coupon people like twitter.com/MomsWhoSave and twitter.com/TweetsDEALS
Feel free to follow I usually use Twitter to intake information but also use it to tweet Mahalo questions and other interesting and funny things I find.
Shaving Private Ryan #oneletteroffmovies I did have a lot of fun with this meme.
@tchachra is a Yankees fan. Although his Tweets are interesting and his tech blog is great feel free to hate him just for being a Yankees fan.
@modernvillan2 is great to follow ( @psynopsis )
@robisIT always has something interesting to say.( @robbrown )
@iidiocracy has the good stuff
Another one of my all time favorites is @sh**mydadsays ~~ fill in the blanks

M$Now, I only use one app and that is Hootsuite. It has one easy-to-use interface, it will manage multiple Twitter profiles, add multiple editors, pre-schedule tweets, measure your success, and many more. Another thing I like best about Hootsuite is that it is web based and therefore does not eat your memory, just like Adobe Air related apps are (e.g. TweetDeck).

M$Even if I turned all the notifications off, the only reason to keep anything running all the time is if I might want to go check it frequently, or on impluse. I don't need to encourage those sort of impluses any further! :)
The downside is that I don't necessarily respond to any form of comms quickly.
Having said, that, what I use when I use it...
- On the the desktop, mostly Seesmic.
- On the iPhone mostly TweetDeck. (There was no Seesmic app last I knew.)
- When following a Twitter link or just wanting a very quick check in... I just use the Twitter website.
My id for Mahalo purposes is: http://twitter.com/philipyana
The big plus of both TweetDeck and Seesmic is that you can group people into columns, so you can easily go look at just tweets from Mahaloians, just tweets from close friends, just replies to you etc. That way you can follow quite a lot of people and orgs without missing important things in the flood.
Also there are some neat things like columns for search results rather than groups of people. That feature's turned up interesting info about the area where I live for instance, like locals news stories or events I'd normally have missed hearing about.
They're generally quite similar in functionality, but very different in their default look. Seesmic is light, TweetDeck dark. Some people seem to like the appearance of one a lot over the other, finding either a dark or light theme restful and easy on the eye, and the other one eye-straining and tiring. But which way round it is seems to vary from person to person!
For what it's worth I think Seesmic may be more future-proofed as there seems to be a small team behind it and it's always seemingly aimed to be a lot more just a Twitter interface. TweetDeck I think is still just one guy.

M$Some of the great things about it are: -
- It's best feature is that you can organize the people you follow into groups. Each column is a group. You can even clear the columns of tweets you have already read so that you can easy see new tweets. Once you organize the people you follow into groups it makes following their feeds easy. Trying to follow everyone together without groups is just too much and you miss a lot of tweets. Tweetdeck makes it easy.
- You can link your bit.ly and twitpic accounts to Tweetdeck to easily track pictures and links that you tweet. You can shorten a URL right in the "what are you doing" bar. You can even drag links and photos to that bar.
- You can view pictures and videos right inside Tweetdeck.
- You can organize and update facebook from Tweetdeck.
- you can view people's profiles by simply clicking on their names
- You can easily manage direct messages and replies and mentions.
- You can have columns with search terms.
- There is a new followers column that you can add where you can see recent tweets of some of the new people that are following you.
-You can even manage multiple accounts.
- many more.
I have in the past also used Power twitter ( a firefox addon) with the twitter main page. It gives the twitter main page extra functionality which is great. If you are going to be managing your twitter feed from the main page it is definitely a must. The truth is though, i hardly visit the main page. That may change however with the roll out of the new lists feature by twitter. I am still checking it out. I am already seeing that it has great possibilities. It will definitely be interesting to see how the feature evolves and how the Tweetdeck developers incorporate lists in their product.
Feel free to follow my feed. It is http://twitter.com/suzd688
I mainly use the feed to tweet interesting stuff that i find. You won't find a lot of "What i ate for breakfast" type tweets in there.

M$I also sign in to Twitter at the same time, because when someone replies to you on an API application, the only way to click back to see what they are replying to is if you are signed in to Twitter.
If you have your tweets protected, you can only approve new requests through the true Twitter interface.
