Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

So you are currently using the DSL modem with both the USB connection, and the ethernet out at the same time? No fair! Mine won't do that!

My DSL modem only allows one connection at a time (ie only USB or only ethernet)....

Anyways, you need a Wireless Router. You can cheaply pick these up at Best Buy/ Walmart/ Office Depot for under $50. You'll feed your Ethernet input into the modem, and it will give you (4) ports out typically one for each desktop and will also broadcast the signal for wireless use.

The picture below shows the network set up with 2 wireless devices and 1 desktop connected via ethernet, but you can do any combo, most routers will have 4 outputs for ethernet (wired) and can support something like 24 or so wireless connections.

You need a wireless router, which should connect to your DSL box. Most wireless routers also have a few wired ports. You could use one of those for your Vista machine's connection. It sounds like you have the XP machine handled. If the laptop has wireless built in, you can connect that way, if not, you could get a USB or ExpressCard wireless add-on for the laptop.
