How do you make your voice sound like you have a sore throat?

Hoarse and scratchy - how to do it?
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

If you yell loudly for about 20 minutes, you'll have the real thing.

Try speaking while holding your breath (or barely holding your breath) so only a small amount of air passes over your vocal cords. Keep your chest "tight."

Alternatively, you can just talk in a loud whisper.

Dry your throat. Take some deep breaths from a cold refrigerator. A big shock to your body, but you'll sound great when you try to talk low and softly.
