M$First one should know what turmeric is before using this herbal spice. Turmeric is a perennial plant in the Ginger family primarily found in South Asia, and is used as a spice though out the world. Turmeric is also known as Curcuma longa.
Turmeric has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties, and some of its attributed and benefits include the following.
When uses as a tea or tincture (cooking in food weakens it but still some effect remains):
• As a strong gastrointestinal remedy
• Remedy for stomach upsets
• Reduce bad breath
• Fight against gingivitus
• Lowers cholesterol
• Assists in fighting blood clotting by thin down blood
• A tonic for the Liver, or liver detox aid
• A tonic for jaundice
• Help reduce risk of heart attacks
• Help reduce risk of strokes
When used as a salve or ointment:
• Slight skin wounds, abrasions
• As an ointment for acne (not fantastic)
• Reduce the flare-up and condition of psoriasis
• Reduce itching and aid in the condition of eczema
• As an ointment can be used to help with arthritic pain
Now for the Best Tea (by my taste) is one I call Golden Cow T.
Ingredients:
• 2 tablespoons of powdered turmeric
• .25 cups of water
• 2 cups of milk
• 1 teaspoon of almond extract
• 1 – 2 teaspoons of honey (preferably local honey to your area, more specific health benefits)
To make my Golden Cow herbal tea, heat .25 cups of water in a saucepan when hot but not boiling, slowly stir in 2 tablespoons powdered Turmeric.
Reduce heat to a simmer and stir until the mixture thickens.
Slowly add milk stirring gently until all milk is added and turmeric has been completely mixed in.
Simmer milk stirring so no crust forms, add the almond extract and honey, stir in till fully mixed.
Serve, allow to cool to a sippable level and enjoy.

Please note that large doses of Turmeric should not be used if you have or have had gall stones or are pregnant.
Also note that no information presented on the use or benefits attributed to turmeric should be taken or used as a recomendation or prescriotion as a remedy for any ailement or medical condition.
