How do you make traditional Yorkshire Pudding?
Does anyone have a simple and easy to follow recipe for traditional, British Yorkshire Pudding that I, an American can follow without having to convert all the different measurements?

Set your oven as high as it goes
Get yourself some nice yorky pud tins
Put a small amount of lard or fat from beef in each tin
Meanwhile mix 6oz of plain flour
pinch of salt
6oz of egg
6oz of milk in a bow s
IMPORTANT: leave to stand a half hour in the fridge while the oven gets hot
Put the tins in the oven
When the fat is smoking slightly (it has to be red hot) put a good dollop of pudding mix in each tin
then pop them back in the oven, quick!
Watch them rise to perfection and get them out when they do
Secret:
mixture has to be equal amounts of everything
&
30 minutes sitting time in fridge to be cold in contrast to the red hot fat

Carefully take the pan out of the oven and pour in the batter. Put the pan back in oven and cook until puffed and dry, 15 to 20 minutes.

M$You are going to need:
*75 grams plain flour
* 2 eggs
* 175 ml of milk whole or semi-skimmed
* 110 ml water
* 2 tablespoon beef dripping
* salt and black pepper (freshly milled)
How to prepare:
1. Start by putting a sieve on a large mixing bowl. Sift the flour in and with the back of a tablespoon, make a hole or a crater at the center of the flour and break the eggs into it. Add some salt and pepper.
2. Next, measure the mile and water in a measuring container. Then start whisking the eggs with an electric whisk and as you are doing this you will also beat the flour around the edges in the process. If the mixture turns stiff, just add the milk and water mixture and continue whisking. Stop and get a spatula and scrape the sides of the bowl so that lumps will then be pushed down into the batter. Whisk again until it becomes smooth..
3. When cooking the Yorkshire pudding, remove the meat from the oven and turn the oven up to the above temperature. Spoon two tablespoons of beef fat into the roasting tin, using an oven glove and place it over direct, medium heat. If the fat starts to shimmer and smoke a little, pour in the batter. Tip to make it even around and put the tin on a high shelf in the oven. The Yorkshire pudding should be done after 40 minutes or until it becomes golden brown and turned crisp. Serve by cutting it into squares. Enjoy!

Measure out your milk and water, and start to whisk the eggs until the mixture becomes somewhat stuff, then add your milk and water. Make sure to scrape the sides of the cowl so any lumps and extras will continue to be mixed in with everything else!
