How do you make money blogging?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The simple answer is: from the traffic.

You need to make your blog popular by having unique interesting content. Update it often so people want to come back. Then try to get it indexed on all the major search engines for lots of keywords. That will increase your traffic and page rank. You can also get traffic by using Pay per click ads and trying to get other websites to link to your blog. You can also use SEO techniques to increase your sites visibility to search engines. (SEObook.com is a good place to research this). The more traffic you get the more value your blog will have which will give it the ability to actually earn money.

Once you have traffic this is how you can actually earn money:
1) Sign up for Google Adwords. You will display Google ads on your blog. if someone clicks an ads you will receive a percentage of what they paid for the click from Google. Note: dont click your own ads. Google will ban you.

2) You can sell ads and banners through other companies such at adbrite.com and textlinks.com

3) If your blog has a huge amount of traffic you can sell text and banner ads yourself

4) You can sign up for affiliates programs. there are thousands of them. If someone clicks through from your blog and then buys something on the affiliate website you will get a percentage of the sale. You can always find an affiliates program for a product related to your blog. examples of websites where you can sign up for lots of affiliates programs: commission junction.com, linkshare.com

5) you can link to ebooks that you will get a percentage of the sale if someone buys after clicking through from your website using clinkbank.com

6) You can sign up to be an Amazon affiliate. if you ever recommend a book, product, movie, game on your website you can link to it using your affiliate code in the link and amazon will give you a percentage of the sale.

Hope this helps you get started.

I understand that blogging takes a long time to draw the traffic and start making money. A lot of places your blog has to be so many days old with so many post on it, before you can actually place ads on your blog. The ads is where you will make money from. When someone visits your site and clicks on an ad you may be paid or some they have to make a purchase from that ad before you get paid. I have heard however if you are a good blogger and writer than you can make excellant money blogging.

How to promote your website takes a few unique steps, sometimes.
Design a unique look for yourself, for your theme.

http://products.signaturewebsites.com/250/1416533435.jpg

Such as this one above.

Find a networking website or chat forum in your area of interest (art,
technology, science, cooking, cars, etc.) and sign up.

Find others to share ideas with and link to them on your site. Ask them if they'd like to exchange the favor and link back to you. Do not spam others by randomly posting with your link... Be helpful, friendly and communicative, and
others will do same for you.

Use the webring directory to get on webrings in your genre.

Use the widgets from:

There are several different sites, such as squidoo, guru.com, kgbkgb.com, weegy.com. If you write articles, try associatedcontent.com and textbroker.com. I do paid work for associated content and textbroker on a regular basis. The Daily Post, another .com, pays you to blog. Search work from home opportunities on associated content too, there are several lists. There is decent money to be made. Good luck.

I'm making $50 to $ 100 from bidding projects and completing offers i have copy paste my post about MAKE A LIVING FROM BLOG ADVERTISING AND MY PAYMENT PROOF here it is
In our recent post I discuss about the WONDERS OF BLOG ADVERTISING
on how it became the most popular form of online advertising.Since advertiser prefer to advertise more on blogs, that's why a lot of bloggers parttime and full time have made blog advertising as one of their source of income...I must say this is one of the best way to make money online for bloggers beside adsense and affiliate marketing.I think we deserve it we worked so hard to maintain the quality and efficiency of our blog,so it is just right that we got a piece of this "multi million dollar industry"

MY PAYMENT PROOF
This is my payment proof from one of these network,it's $45 total for 3 months just enough to keep my internet connection.Actually a lot of bloggers are making a living from this blog advertising, these are the more serious one who knows their niche and able to market it effectively they also know search engine optimation or seo and of course proper blog maintenance. They command $20-$100 per product reviews. If you happens to be a blogger and you think you can give a good reviews then why not try to become a blog advertising publisher,of course you must have a good ALEXA TRAFFIC Rank,PAGE RANK{I think this is not necessary to some blog advertiser network but some advetiser chooses to publish to blog that has a good PR} and of course links.
All you have to do is to create a free account and add your site after veryfying your account and your site some networks will require you to add their code to your template to verify if you really own the site, you can then go to your control panel and if there's an opportunity for you, while some of these networks will just you a blog tasj or blog offer to your control panel or email add.Actually the advertiser is the one who will choose the parameters on what kind of blog he would like to publish his advertisement.

SOME BLOGADVERTISING NETWORK AND THEIR SMALL DETAILS
BUYBLOGREVIEWS they'll send you an email if there's an opportunity added to their market place so you just have to login and bid for that opportunity be sure the opportunity is according to the theme of your site
SPONSOREDREVIEWS same as the above there are a lot of opportunities you just have to bid for it but the competition is very high to this network
PAYPERPOST one of the most popular a lot of opportunities you just have to login and see if there's availlable offer to you
BLOGSVERTISER You have no access to their marketplacethey'll just send a blogtask and it's complete details to your email or you can just visit your control panel and see if there's a task assign to you
REVIEWME very good program the'll send you a blog offer if a publisher chooses your blog
PAYINGPOST a new kid on the block but as of this time there a only a handful of offer but hey you can earn $10 here immediately after yopu get your blog approve,by posting about their site see the details .
you can visit my site i have some tips on how to earn from blogging please go here http://freemoneyhub.blogspot.com
