How do you make homemade tattoo ink?
I know that tattoo ink has been made from pigments found in nature by tribal people from many areas of the world for a long time. Yet today, a number of tattoo inks are derived from carbon and contain sometimes dangerous heavy metals. I am familiar with some of the carbon-based methods fro making tattoo ink, such as burning sheet metal, paper, or styrofoam, but I do not feel that these methods are safe. (There are also a number of other procedures used in prison for making homemade tattoo ink, and these I am unsure about.) What are some ways to make homemade tattoo ink at home using natural materials? Do you know of any homemade tattoo ink recipes?
