1. Put eggs in a saucepan.

2. Cover with cold water at least one inch above top of eggs.

3. Turn burner to high and boil for 1-2 minutes. Remove pan from heat.

4. Leave eggs in pan for 10 minutes.

5. Check to see if eggs are done by cutting one open. The egg is done when the yolk looks like one of those rubber ball things.

6. Transfer eggs (Caution: Eggs will be hot!) from saucepan to a bowl of ice water. The ice water will help with cooling and peeling.

7. Peel shell off egg and prepare to your liking.

I put them a pot, cover with water, add a big pinch of salt and bring it to constant boil for 10 minutes. I turn the pot off remove from the burner and let them cool down, then I peel the shells off under cool running water. They always turn out perfectly this way.

I think the easiest method with the best results would be to put the eggs into a big pot full of water. Add some salt to help the water come to a boil faster (15 - 20 mins) then drain the water into the sink with a drainer to catch the eggs. Then just peel the shells under the fawcet with cool water running. Delicious!

Hard boiled eggs taste best when they have been boiled for 10 minutes on Max heat. Cooked for any longer and they taste like rubber.

My method is a slight variation on the others....

- Cover eggs with tepid, not cold, water in a tall sauce pot.

- Place the sauce pot on high heat until the water comes to a rolling boil.

- As soon as the water is at a rolling boil, TURN OFF the heat, immediately cover the pot with a tight fitting lid and set a timer for ten minutes from the time you cover the pot.

-While waiting place a colander in an empty sink and fill a container with ide water that is large enough to accommodate the quantity of eggs you are making.

- After ten minutes uncover the sauce pot, gently pour off the eggs into the waiting colander. Lift the colander which now holds the eggs and gently pour them into the prepared ice water.

- You want the ice water to remain icy and cold so if there isn't enough water and ice after the eggs are cooling make sure to add more ice to keep it cold. It's this step that will help avoid sulfurous smelling eggs with that ugly gray ring around the yolk.

- Once the eggs are completely cooled remove from the ice bath and peel under running water.

ENJOY!!!
