How do you make a healthy smoothie?

Where can I get smoothie recipes for healthy drinks? Will drinking smoothies help keep up my health? What fruits and veggies do you put in smoothies?

Some of the recipes they have on there are :

Pomegranate Smoothie With Cranberry

Ingredients:

3 cups chilled unsweetened cranberry juice
3/4 cup chilled pomegranate juice
1/3 cup fresh lime juice
6 packets of no-calorie sweetener
3 cups chilled club soda
In large pitcher, combine cranberry juice, pomegranate juice and lime juice. Stir in sweetener until dissolved. Add club soda and pour into glasses. (Serves 4)

Wheat Germ Smoothie

Ingredients
1 ripe medium banana
1 cup vanilla low-fat or nonfat yogurt
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup wheat germ
1 cup cracked ice
1 cup sliced fresh peaches or banana slices
Preparation:
Cut banana into chunks.
Put banana and yogurt in a blender with peaches, orange juice and wheat germ.
Add cracked ice.
Blend until smooth.
Serve immediately in tall glass.
Garnish with peach or banana slices and sprinkle 2 tsp. wheat germ on top.

A smoothie is a great choice for trying to stay healthy as long as you do it the right way, always use fresh fruit, avoid using sugar. They are better than drinking soda, coffee. Most people don’t realize how many calories they take in each day from drinking unhealthy drinks alone. For example, a caffe mocha with all the fixings can pack in over 500 calories! So as you can see, switching to healthier drinks and ditching the “junk drinks” will greatly reduce your daily caloric intake and in return start shredding those unwanted pounds.

Smoothies can be made with both fruits and vegetables. Some good things to use in your smoothies are, carrots, Apple juice, carrots, apples and ice

Sweet potatoes, apples, apple juice and ice

Mangos, strawberries, vanilla soy milk and ice

Bananas, berries, and yogurt

Spinach, carrots, apple juice and ice

Mangos, pineapples, ice and milk

Avocado, banana, orange juice, ice

Tomato, peppers, apple juice, ice
