How do you know if your language classes are good?
Many people learn a foreign language.
What makes a class good? What makes a class bad?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The good classes, on the other hand, made a connection between the words and phrases and real life. One of the most interesting activities I ever did in a language class was an assignment where we had to stand in front of the class and explain an everyday activity in front of everyone. As simple as it sounds, it really made me start to think about OTHER daily activities and how they would be described in the language, and it became sort of a snowball effect.

M$I also think that a good class makes you want to use more of the language itself and it also makes you want to try to sound as natural as possible.
I am fascinated by languages. I have taken French and am currently teaching myself Mandarin. I also find that i pick up languages (romance ones particularly) very quickly so i can also speak some Spanish and Italian as well as a little bit of Portuguese just from being exposed to it while traveling.
