How do you know how hot the temperature of the meat is when it is time to take the meat from the grill?

When you have placed the meat on the grill how will you know that it is cooked and not under done. Will the meat have any problems being medium rare or medium if it is cooked at home? I have heard that it is a certain temperature to be medium or medium rare. Do you actually use some type of thermostat?

There are a few ways to actually tell if the meat is properly done or not. One way is to put them on the grill and check them often by cutting in to the middle of the food, and checking the color until it how you like it. The best way to actually get it to the proper coked temperature and know for sure, is to check the temperature with a thermometer. I have put a list here below that tells you what the exact temperature should be!
* Steaks & Roasts - 145 °F
* Fish - 145 °F
* Pork - 160 °F
* Ground Beef - 160 °F
* Egg Dishes - 160 °F
* Chicken Breasts - 165 °F
* Whole Poultry - 165 °F

These are the considered temps to pass the danger point of uncooked meat they do not differentiate between well-done to rare. Therefore they are not the exact temps to cook meat to.

Firsta thermostat is what is on the wall to adjust the temp in your house by your boiler, furnance or even wood pellet stove. You can use a thermometer to insert into the meat to get the core temp. If you have some experience you can tell by pressing on the meat. An example would be if you opened your hand and pushed on the meat on the side of your hand-this is rare. If you make a small fist and push on it this is tighter and this would be well-done.
