How do you keep a Windows based computer safe from viruses?

It is not the fact that Macs are impervious to viruses, but the fact that there are simply not enough Macs out there to make creating viruses for them worthwhile. Macs make-up about 6% of the market share, whereas PC's account for the latter 94%. If you were a virus or malware creator, which would you target?
As far as security, I'd recommend an Anti-virus Program as well as a Firewall Program (a lot of companies now integrate the two, sometimes called "Security Suites")
Some are better than others, but it generally comes down to user preference.
I prefer Kaspersky Labs products:
