Any activity that helps make the diaphragm hold still or calm long enough to release or ease the muscle spasm in it. .. That is why so many silly things work.. Burping, holding your breath, standing on your head and drinking water.. jumping up an down.. all force the muscle to take control of the diaphragm that can help stop the contractions caused by the muscle twitch or spasm in the diaphragm...
