How do you feel about Seth Rogen being attached to the new Green Hornet movie coming out in 2010?

He doesn't look the part, and never will no matter how buff he gets, nor will he ever be able to fullfill the manners of the character.
It should have been Mark Wallberg. He would have been perfect for the role.
The only thing I can imagine is that they're planning to release it as some sort of theatrical comic-book camp, wherin the whole thing's supposed to be seen as some kind of joke.
I am annoyed, big time, because as a child I loved the Green Hornet, much more than Batman, and I was totally ticked when they cancel it after only one season.
I was so looking forward to this, and they've dashed my dreams so bad I'm almost certainly *not* going to see the movie - not on purpose, anyway - because I don't want my idealized images of the Green Hornet permantly traumatized.

M$The problem I have isn't with the man himself. Jim Carey for example is a great actor when he doesn't play the Zany crazy character, Likewise Adam Sandler can put in a decent performance when his character isnt like a six year old... its more of the direction its taking.
There is a group of people in holywood who think that comic book adaptations should all be zany, tongue in cheek, camp silly things. Hey, it doesn't matter if the script is crazy, its based on a super hero.... hey don't act just camp it up... its from a comic book... Don't worry about the quality we'll sell it to kids who don't care.
I may be doing Seth a great disservice here, but I'm guessing thats the direction that this film is going... and with that said I really don't think we need a Green Hornet Movie thats based along those lines.

M$Fortunately, Green Hornet is a normal guy without any super-powers. If Rogen can do that, he's fine...
