Your question would be better worded if it asked if people are for or against offshore drilling off of Louisiana's coast.
While some American's may be opposed to offshore drilling off of some of America's coasts, American's have no objection to buying oil which was produced by offshore drilling off other coasts. All of the North Sea oil is obtained through offshore drilling. American's are not opposed to buying oil from the North Sea because it was produced offshore.
