How do you feel about genetically modified food like EnviroPig, a University of Guelph 10yr long project to create a better pig?

Singularity Hub Article about this Canadian Research

What will this project need to get approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration?
Will the impact of less phosphorous in the waste of EnviroPig have significant positive impact environmentally?
What are the risks of this specific genetically modified food research project?

There's really no telling how the "manufacturers" are going to sneak this atrocity into the food supply.

I think it's a huge mistake- think now of all the beef, pork, chicken, etc. raised with antibiotic ridden food and how practically all known strains of bacteria are becoming immune.

God created food creatures the right way the first time- no one should be messing with it.

Some of the animals are being messed with to provide transplant parts for people- EEEEEEEEWWWWWWW!!! I bet insurance won't cover it.

We do not know the risks of genetically modified meat are. I like what many European countries have done. "Not until you can prove it is safe, can you introduce it into the food supply." I don't like that the US waits until it is shown to be dangerous to take stuff out of the supply chain.

Agribusiness is focused on profits, instead of sustainability. It used to be that farmers would convert feces into fertilizers. Now with EPA requirements, feces is just waste that must be disposed of in a safe manner.
