How do you edit a video?? like all the extra closed captioning, side effects, etc?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi, i'm using Cyberlink PowerDirector 6 to edit my video, which preinstalled on my Asus laptop when i purchased 2 years ago.

PowerDirector is a very straight-forward & feature ich software to edit & enhance your video. The learning curve is so thin, that you don't even need to read the manual to make the first video clip. It basically comes in 4 modes:

Capture mode : capture video from DV, TV, PC camera, may need to work with special video capture hardware.

Edit mode : this is the magic part, import your video or photo into the gallery, then place them orderly in the Time Line bar. You may add Transitions (preloaded with preview), trim the video, background music, sound effect clips, text, Titles, DVD chapters or DVD subtitles. Everything associate on the Time Line Bar, so you always know long is you video playtime, and when an effect will come out.

Produce mode : it export your video to wide range of formats (AVI, MPEG, FLV, RealVideo, quicktime) etc and allow you to upload it to YouTube.

Create Disc mode : it export & burn your video into a DVD/VCD or other disc formats. You can design Chapter menu here.

I also have Pinnacle Studio 12 which is more professional and have more advance features, but under the hoodit is very similiar to PowerDirector. PowerDirector is on version 8 now, should works better. Hope this help.
