How do you download Facebook videos onto your computer?

I had previously used websites such as:

http://www.downfacebook.com
http://www.keepvid.com
http://www.keep-tube.com

to download Facebook videos onto my computer. For some reason, none of them appear to be working anymore. I can still download YouTube videos using these services but no luck with Facebook videos *any longer*- they seemed to work before.

Did Facebook make any changes that would keep people from downloading videos?

If you can find a way to download this facebook video onto your computer and can tell me how to do it, you get the tip.

This is the video I have been trying to download:
http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1498235660505

Again, you get the tip if you can tell me how to successfully download this video onto my computer, preferably without having to download any software. I am running the latest version of Firefox if that matters.
Tip for best answer: M$5.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hmm, it seems that your video is marked private or friends only by the uploader. Keep-tube and other video downloading sites can only download video that's publicly available to everyone. I've just tried downloading Shane Dawson's public video here : http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1075785789408 and it still work in Keep-tube.

To download private videos, you can try to install Firefox add-on here : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9614/ . After installation and restarting firefox, a 'Download Video' option will appear in every Facebook video and you can click it to save the video in your computer in MP4 or FLV format.

You can also download the video without add-on or installing anything. First, visit the video page and watch the video streams until the end. Mark the time when you've finished watching the video (e.g : 12.26 PM). Don't close the window or tab. And then, open Explorer and open this following folder :

Windows XP : C:\Documents and Settings > (Your Username) > Local Settings > Application Data > Mozilla > Firefox > Profiles > (random code).default > Cache

Windows Vista/7 : C:\Users > (Your Username) > Local Settings > Application Data > Mozilla > Firefox > Profiles > (random code).default > Cache

Find a file that has few MBs in size and has 'last modified time' same as the time when you've finished watching the video. To check whether the file is a video or not, open it in VLC Media Player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ ). If it is, add .mp4 or .flv extension by renaming the video and copy them to a safe folder to prevent deletion. That's it, you've successfully acquired the video to your computer.

If you need any help, ask away. :)

Yesterday I was searching some video on Facebook, and find some good stuff.
I'd suggest you download and use this streaming video recorder, which is an easy way to download your preferred videos, movies, tv shows, and much more from other popular video sharing sites, like YouTube, Dailymotion, MetaCafe and so on.

The download link is (http://www.recordstreamingvideo.net/download-video-recorder)

I have compared different download software and converters and I recommend Convert-tune to download videos from facebook easily. :-)
http:// convert-tune.com /index. html
It converts music and movies, and also burn files on CDs. The converter is
easy to install and use.

I prefer speedbit to watch streaming video online 100% faster... as in how long it takes to download video's from any site. You can then use a browser add-on to get a right click save video option.

For what it's worth, I use Ant Video downloader. It should come in handy if you use Firefox, as it adds a button you can click to download a video at the web page you're currently at.

I use a Firefox add-on called Grease Monkeyto download the video.
Under many circumstances, Facebook users often embed the video from other steaming video sites, so you can easily find out the original video and download it if you know the principle of how to add video to Facebook. Here is the guide.

The video link you have mentioned is removed. Anyway i have downloaded Streaming Video Recorder now and tried to download a facebook video and succeeded. The download link is ( http://www.recordstreamingvideo.net/download-video-recorder )

The video link you have mentioned is removed. Anyway i have downloaded Streaming Video Recorder now and tried to download a facebook video and succeeded.

The download link is ( http://www.recordstreamingvideo.net/download-video-recorder )

I logged in as admin and installed the same. Then i logged into my facebook account and clicked on a video and this application automatically started downloading. You can right click and stop it from downloading as well as play the same.
Three videos were free for downloading with this and they charge $39.95 for Windows version and $29 for Mac.

Hope this info is useful. Regards
