how do you download an mp3 from a web page using an ipad

Tip for best answer: M$0.75
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Since there is only a one-way download for iTunes, your best bet for downloading mp3s to you iPad is by using 3rd party software, like Xilisoft iPad Magic. It's a nifty program that let's you transfer an unlimited amount of music, videos and files from your iPad to your computer or vice versa. It gets rid of any restrictions that Apple originally put in with the iPad and essentially give you free reign. Using Xilisoft or something similar is the easiest way to get mp3s to your iPad.

An iPad can't do either of those things. What 3rd party apps? Do you even know what an iPad is?

The iPad can play mp3 songs and it sounds great too.
To be able to play mp3 on your iPad you will need a memory stick that has big enough memory since the 32 Mb that comes with your iPad can only accommodate a few songs. You can try the 1G memory stick. You are going to need a Mini-USB cable or a memory stick card reader to be able to access your memory stick from your pc.

These are the steps:
1. Connect to your memory stick by simply connecting the cable to your iPad and Windows will detect it as a new drive.

2. In the memory stick, there should be a folder called "iPad" and inside you will find a folder named "MUSIC:. If you cannot find one just create one

Tips: If you want to save on battery just turn off the screen by holding the brightness toggle button for more than 1 second; press also the triangle button to view other options like repeat mode and the built-in help.
