The CDC says that if you have a BMI of 25-30, you are considered overweight. If your BMI is 30 and above, you are considered obese.

M$First it’s important to be healthy. Genetics often dictate what weight you will carry and set the standard for health. That being said there are several ways to tell if you are overweight. One is the BMI which stands for body mass index. Check out this link http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/. I, being a Personal Trainer, like the skin fold method best. If you are do inclined to purchase skin fold calipers it might be worth it to you and give you a more accurate look at your body fat %. Check this out http://www.topendsports.com/testing/tests/skinfolds.htm. Remember your weight is about what you want and how you feel accompanied with a healthy scope. Good luck you can do it!

I've heard that the CDC might possibly change the BMI to be a little higher. But until then, it's just a rumor. (darn!)
