How do you clean calphalon pans properly?
I recently found a calphalon pan at a garage sale but the instructions for the proper care for the pan had been thrown out. Can I use a soap pad like SOS or Brillo on it or should it be washed with plain soap and water? Do calphalon skillets have to be "seasoned" like cast iron skillets?
Thank you.
Thank you.

I found this helpful guide on how to clean and wash calphalons cookware:
1. You can avoid getting permanent stains on the pans by washing them immediately after you are done using it. If you don't have the time to clean it right away, fill it with water and clean it later.
2. You can use baking soda to clean calphalon cookware. Clean them using a plastic rubber and mild dish soap. If there are stains and residue left in the pan, cover the damp pan with baking soda and leave it for a few hours. Wash it again with soap and plastic rubber.
3. For stubborn stain or residue you can use a special cleaner like Dawn Power Dissolver. This is a thick liquid spray that is milder than oven cleaner and dishwashing detergent but stronger compared to regular dish soap. Spray it on the pan and let it sit for two minutes and wash it thoroughly. If you cannot find this kind of product, you can put a dishwashing liquid in a spray bottle and dilute it with water and spray it on the pan.
4. You can also use scrub cleaner to remove stains and residue from your calphalon cookware. This should remove any cooked or grease from your calphalon pan.
