The next step is to get more information and acquire the necessary skill. Most people are more comfortable to give their pets to someone with a certificate in the field. So get certified.
The National Dog Groomers Association of America is recognized nationally and would be a better choice if you want to get jobs from famous and rich people. While you are training, get some practical experience by working as assistance to any professional dog groomer. This will go a long way to help you when you get your license or certificate.

Also look to the Grooming Institute of Canada. Upon successful testing, you are granted the right thru licensing to call yourself a Licensed Groomer of Achievement.
The Grooming Insitute of Canada is Canada's Board and it is the only firm/association that holds the Canadian Trademarks for six levels of Licensing in Canada.
