You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

If you are using iMovie ’08, there is no way for you to speed up/slow down the speeds of your video in the application itself. You can however, download iMovie ’06 which will allow you to do so. Apple offers a free download of iMovie ’06 but only to iMovie ’08 users. You will be allowed to run both iMovie ’08 and iMovie ’06 on your computer.
Alternatively, if you are not using iMovie ’08, or if you do not want to install another version of iMovie on your computer, you can use third party apps to do so externally. You can download the JES Deinterlacer for free to change the speeds of your video. You can also view a tutorial that shows you how to do it.
If you are using iMovie ’09, you can adjust the speed of your video. A tutorial is shown here (http://www.macworld.com/article/143736/2009/11/speed_imovie_video.html).
