How do you achieve the body strength with weight lifting?

What size weights should I use if I’m a woman, and a beginner? Should I use protein shakes when working out?

Hi razorkite,

Weight lifting is the excellent way for gaining strength. When you lift weights, they cause small tears in the muscles due to damage caused by the weights. Now your body has to repair this damage, which it does by increasing your muscle size. This leads to increased strength, thus allowing you to lift heavy weights safely.

Women and men should train the same way. Start with a weight that you can lift safely for 10-12 reps. Once you have reached this goal, increase the weight and then repeat the afore mentioned procedure. Even novices should use the same technique.

When exercising with weights, ensure you consume plenty of proteins. This can be done with the help of protein shakes as they are a concentrated source of proteins. It will help you build muscle quickly.
