World Water Day: March 22. We have just past the day. International World Water Day was observed in many parts of the world on Monday, the 22nd March 2010. Theme of World Water Day 2010 was “Water Quality”, under the slogan “Clean Water for a Healthy World”
World Water Day is an initiative that grew out of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro. The United Nations General Assembly responded by designating 22 March 1993 as the first World Water Day.
IRC published a special Source newsletter featuring many World Water Day events for awareness and fund raising, which are held around the world and on the internet around 22 March.
