How do robots learn human movement, such as, spray painting or welding?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This is where math finally pays off. The programmers of such robots use robotic algorithms and formulas that cause movement very similar to that of humans and other live creatures.
You would be surprised but everything robots do is made possible through mathematical algorithms. Which is really amazing because it makes you wonder if everything else in the universe works and exists thanks to math.

Are you referring to b-splines and inverse kinematics algorithms?
No, I was referring to robot algorithms. They are very different from computer algorithms.
robot algorithms-are abstract descriptions of processes consisting of motions and sensing operations in the physical space.
Here's a website I found explaining these algorithms in more detail.
