I know this is going to sound like the oldest song in the book, and I will tell you right out that if I hadn't experienced it for myself, I wouldn't believe it but...

If you really love the person, you'll be able to handle them being with someone else if you can see that they are happier over there. If you don't really love the person, you'll be pissed off and you'll feel like you've been used.

You know how there's some lessons you have to experience first hand in order to get? Like when, no matter how hard parents and elders and teachers try to explain it, that you just won't be able to get it in the deep-down way until you experience it?

Well this is one of those... and it's frankly stupifying to see yourself loving someone so much that you're crying bitter-sweet tears of acceptance to know they're going to be happier without you than with.

If you don't believe me, I don't blame you one little bit!

But wait until you see it happen. You *will* be dumbstruck by how powerful love can really be!

When people are really in love, they can't stop thinking about him/her. They want to be with him/her all day and thinks about how it would be to date, have a relationship etc. When not really in love however, the "addiction" is way less, and you won't be as shy as you are when you're with someone you're really in love with.

If you are in love with someone, their happiness and well-being will be just as important as your own. You will want them to have fun when you go out. You will be concerned if they are sick or hurt. You will care if they had a bad day at work.

Infatuation is all about how you feel, without any consideration of the other person.
