How do mahalo pages get revenue?
I have no idea how this works.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

How likely people are to click on an ad depends a lot on the topic, and what they were thinking about when they decided to read about that topic.
Your more popular page is about an actress. When people look for info on celebs, they're not usually looking for something to buy, more likely for news or gossip, so they're less likely to click an ad.
Your other page is about fashion, and people looking at that might be more in the frame of mind to look at a product ad.
All told though the difference between 0.06 and 0.23 could just be chance. It might amount to just one ad click each for the two pages, which is not really enough of a pattern to draw any conclusions from.

M$The typical click-through starts around $0.12 and Mahalo splits the revenue with you.

M$Where did you get the $0.12 figure from? Sounds interesting, but it's not in the source, and I have never heard anyone speak about "typical figures", always about how much they vary.
for content ads i've paid as little as .05 to get my ads displayed on someone's site... google doesn't pay out the full amount, and mahalo gets half...
and i've received as little as .01 on some of my pages.
Philipy ... I've been experimenting (a little) with Google Adwords (which Google Adsense displays). The minimum bid amount is on order of 12 cents - below that and likely your ad won't display. You can run Adwords (without registering) and get estimate of what your likely bid will have to be ... depends on keyword of course. 12 cents is really a floor ... now since Mahalo displays so many ads it could be lower (considered content placements rather than search placements)
