how do i use the shotgun to take out the guards in the hallways to reach the exit after i planted the explosives in the lost fuel station? I

I'm playing Velvet Assassin on Pc. I can't figure out how to work the shotgun to take out the guards in the
hallway to reach my exit to end the mission.How do I get my mouse to control to respond ?
