How do I use Songbird with iTunes?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hi @the_valley!
Songbird is a free a open source software audio player and web browser. It has a mission to incubate Songbird which is a first Web player to catalyze and champion a diverse open Media Web.
It utilizes the cross-platform frameworks, Mozilla's XUL Runnerand GStreamer media framework and capable of running on Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Solaris and Linux.
I found a guide online on how to use Songbird with iTunes:
1. Open iTunes and attach your iPod. Next, go to "Settings" tab and uncheck the box that has instructions to open iTunes when iPod is attached and put a check next to "Enable Disk Use.". From iTunes, click on the slider at the bottom of the screen and slide it all the way to the left to remove all the songs on your iPod. You have to load the songs back on with Songbird.
2. Install Songbird, make sure to leave "Songbird iPod Device Support" checked.
3. Launch Songbird on your iPod.
4. Go to Songbird Preferences and click on the "iPod" tab and choose how you would like to manage it from the choices that will be displayed. You can either synchronized all songs and playlists or choose "manual" to select the individual songs you like to synchronize.
5. Look for the icon representing your iPod on the left side of Songbird's column. Choose your iPod and drag and drop song from your library to your iPod. You will then find these songs on your iPod and will be accessible from Songbird.
