Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Here is a simple way of toasting pecans. Merry Christmas!!!!

-quote-

"INGREDIENTS:

Pecans
Salted Butter, melted

DIRECTIONS:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl toss raw pecans with melted salted butter until evenly coated. Use approximately 1/2 tablespoon of butter for every cup of pecans. Spread the pecans in a single layer on a non-stick cookie sheet or line your sheet with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minutes. Allow to completely cool before eating. Enjoy!"

Ingredients
1 cup butter, melted - SEE NOTE
6 cups shelled pecans
salt to taste - this isn't necessary if your pecans are already salted or you use salted butter.

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C).
2. Pour the butter into a medium bowl, and mix in the pecans. Stir until the pecans are well coated.
3. Arrange coated pecans in a single layer on one or two medium baking sheets. Sprinkle with salt.
4. Bake in the preheated oven approximately 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cool and store in covered containers.

NOTE: You can also coat the pecans with any variety of flavorings. I use cinnamon, or brown sugar and real maple syrup on occasion for something different. I also thing the original recipe calls for too much butter for it to be considered healthy. I usually scale it back to 1 stick of butter and add more if necessary. Depending on your oven the 1 hour cooking time may be too long, it was fine in my old oven, but in the new one I pull them out in 45. I would just keep a close eye on them as you hit the 45min mark and keep them in longer if necessary.

Although the source is listed, the first part of this answer should have had the quote, /quote tags or at the very least quotation marks.
