How do I stop receiving new answers to a questioned I answered?

I'm getting too many emails with new answers for the Oscar ballot question. After I check the email box, how can I cancel this?
And if I can't, I think a system should be implemented in which you can opt out of getting emails for particular questions.
Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Unfortunately, I don't believe you can cancel this. It would be a good feature request for Mahalo Answers, so email them at feedback@mahalo.com and maybe they can cancel it for you. Also, next time you answer a question you should be sure to uncheck the boxes, so that you do not receive the emails.

Oh my... You seem like a real road warrior when you say, "it can flood your email and make your phone vibrate incessantly." You can totally write a comedy routine on this one.

Right. It's so easy to overlook and some questions generate so many responses that it can flood your email and make your phone vibrate incessantly.

I opt out of receiving any emails from Mahalo Answers. My inbox would be FULL if I didn't.

To do that, you turn it off in your settings on your profile page.

When you answer a question, there are 2 boxes when it asks you for your source. They say:

Email me when someone replies to my answer
Email me when people answer this question

They are checked by default, but you can uncheck them so you dont recieve emails. I don't think you can uncheck them for questions you have already answered, but in the future I hope that helps.

Edit: actually if you go to your profile there should be a link next to your user name that says settings. From there you can go to email notifications and change when you receive emails.

When you answer your question remove the tick mark from
1)Email me when someone replies to my answer
2)Email me when people answer this question
which will be present right below what's your source and above submit your answer.hope this is useful. check the box in the photo which is a print screen of mahalo answer site.
