How do I make light and fluffy homemade biscuits?

My great-grandmother always made the lightest and fluffiest made from scratch biscuits you could imagine. I have no idea what she did to make them so yummy. You see, I do not like heavy biscuits that have a lot of grease. When I try to make homemade biscuits they either turn out too dry or too heavy.

How do I make light and fluffy biscuits just like Grandma used to make?

Hi @ cosmopinkice, this is a recipe for making light fluffy and less greasy homemade biscuits. I make most of my pastries at home and here is one that you might like:

* light fluffy homemade biscuits recipe

INGREDIENTS:

• 2 cups pastry flour
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• 3/4 cup whole milk
• 1/4 cup olive oil

PREPARATION:

*First Preheat the oven to 350 F.

*Get a bowl and Mix the flour and the baking powder together.
*Next pour the milk and olive oil into the mixture and stir thoroughly until the ingredients are well incorporated and you can handle the batter with your hands.

*Now grease a pan and place a plain cookie sheet into the pan.

* Using a biscuit cutter, cut the dough into the number of cookies or biscuits that you want. Make sure your dough is not rolled down to flat, so that you can get a fluffier biscuit

* Place the biscuits into the pan and then in the preheated oven, and bake until golden (15 to 20 minutes).

*Take out your biscuits, let it cool and enjoy.
