How do I get Guitar Hero on Wii to play with two players?

I am pretty sure there is a multiplayer button on the main menu where you can connect 2 guitar hero controllers or one guitar and one wii remote and jam with your friends. There is also a co-op button under career mode (i think) where you can play career mode with your friends over wifi or locally.
