Apple makes great products and they never offer discounts on those products.
However, if you're a college student or teacher, you can get educational discount directly from Apple (http://store.apple.com/us-hed/findyourschool).
Or, go to www.macmall.com and they offer fairly competitive pricing and you save a ton of cash because you don't have to pay sales tax with Mac Mall. I saved over $300 on my 27" iMac by going to Macmall as opposed to Apple.
