How can I put on a wig without good hairnet that will hold my hair and prevent bumps when I put the wig on?

I currently have long hair, about almost waist length to be precise. I want to wear a wig but it’s tough to wear wig without hairnet that will copy the shape of your head. Those seemed out of stock here so I’m stuck on wearing plain hairnets. However, I end up having bulky looking head when I have the wig on.

Any tips on how to wear wig without good hairnets?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I have a couple suggestions. If you really want to wear a wig and you have a hair net, try tipping your head upside down and then slowly letting your hair fall into the hairnet while pulling it up and onto your head. If you are pony tailing or rolling your hair into the hairnet, it will be bumpy.

My second idea is a nylon stocking. I used to use a nylon to keep my hair in many years ago when I would wear a wig.

My last thought is, getting a hair piece that clips into your hair. You will not have to suffer with a hot itchy head and they make amazing hair pieces nowadays.

You mentioned you have very long hair, but are wearing a wig. Consider getting your hair cut shorter. Leave it long, just not to your waist. You will see your hair will most likely look fuller and healthier. Perhaps you will not even want to wear a wig.
