How can I make homemade Tea Bags?

Tip for best answer: M$1.75
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The first STEP in making home made Tea Bags, is to get a hold of cheesecloth which is not bleached, can be bought at health stores or market and some embroidery thread that you prefer. Select your choice of loose leaf tea, maybe a "a smokey black lapsang souchong as the base, and lightened it up with spearmint, rose hips, and a vanilla rooibos."

I have made homemade teabags before with coffee filters, you just cut them and fold them like regular teabags and staple them shut, or if you are trying to make fancier teabags you can get a yard of 100% raw not dyed silk from a fabric store such as joannes. Silk makes for a much nicer looking teabag..if it's just for your own functional use go with the coffee filters as they are cheaper.
