Regarding #6, voltage measures potential difference, not surprise. The units for measuring current are Amperes, sometimes shortened to Amps (not to be confused with amplifiers). The symbol for Ampere is A. Smaller currents can be measured in milli-Amperes (mA) which are 1/1000 A.
