Shure makes the ones with great sound reproduction. Cordless costs more, but you can get great discounts online at various places.
We have one for family fun. LOVE IT, with the Mackie speakers and mixer.

My honest suggestion to you is to grab your best set of non-noise cancelling headphones and head down to a music store and ask to test a few different dynamic mic. I ended up settling for a Sennheiser e845 ($150) because I like the way it picked up the base response of my voice. The choice will be very personal, but as long as your getting a wired mic without an on/off swicth for about $100 and you like the way your voice sounds than you should be fine to record anything at home.

What's the best home studio mic for recording of rap within a resonable price range
I'm looking to purchase a new home studio mic for recordings of my vocals, I already have the Samson Q1U which is decent as perhaps a podcast oriented mic, but I don't know, I do not think it delivers enough.
I have looked at some of the T Bone mic's on Thomann.de, I have heard some of them should be pretty good, and within a resonable price range?
My requirements for this new mic is that it should be able to connect via USB.
Will a mic like this be good enough for me?
http://www.thomann.de/dk/the_tbone_sc440_usb.htm
Another thing, is my current mic good enough, and is it only because of my current lag of a pop filter that I'm not entirely sattisfied with the quality of the vocal recordings perhaps?
Looking forward for your answers

The Shure SM-58 mic is a true tested road warrior capable of withstanding the occasional bump or drop ($99 USD). What makes it so good for stage or even home recording is the fact that it is a dynamic cardioid microphone meaning that it only picks up what is directly in front of it. This allows you to save on expensive and obtrusive sound proofing material like you would need if you were using a condenser mic. My honest suggestion to you is to grab your best set of non-noise cancelling headphones and head down to a music store and ask to test a few different dynamic mic.
