When is the worst time you ever had an electricity power cut? Any funny stories or irritations it caused?
Here in the UK I avidly watched the Wimbledon Tennis Championships for most of the 2 weeks.
I loved watching the final, which as you may know went to 16-14 in the fifth set with Roger Federer beating Andy Roddick.
I'd sat there over 4 hours when my electricity went off at 12-12 in the fifth set, can anybody beat that for an innopportune time for a power cut?
Power was restored 2 hours after the final finished!

The worst power out was on Thursday, August 14, 2003. Toronto was just coming out of the SARS outbreak. All of Toronto had no power.I had no cooked food and no candles in the apartment. Aslo, I had no idea, how long it was going to last. I went to the nearby store and lucky me, got some candles and some bread. Also the cash machines were not working there. We listened to the small battery powered radio. Torontonians were got so lucky to have it in the summer though. It was just hot.
So many people bought T-shirts with slogan" I survived SARS and Blackout "So many people had to walk long distance to reach home. Even coffee shops were closed.

Power was out for 5 days. We took baths in the hot tub and with a garden hose. eek
We got the flu. Had to go in for scheduled serious surgery anyway amidst the outage. Would have liked a real shower! WoW!

We had our power out for a few weeks was warm enough to take a cold shower every few days and the power had to go out when I was in the middle of cooking dinner needless to say that was pizza night.
We were out for two weeks including Christmas Day due to and ice storm.
Makes camping in the winter in the house interesting.
Christmas Dinner with no power.....no heat...
peanut butter and jelly....

Yikes and I thought being out for 2 1/2 hours and missing the end of the Wimbledon final was bad.
