Is watering a lawn 10 times/day w/ 1 gallon better than once a day with 20?

No. Lawns generally need 1" of water once a week, to soak to the roots. If it excessively hot (80f and higher) and the soil is well draining (sand and rock), it may need watering twice a week, 1" to keep it green. Try mowing when it is 3" to 4" and cut to 2"and leaving the clippings on to mulch the lawn and keep it healthier. Don't mow too short, as there won't be enough green lawn to keep the growth process growing well. good luck!

No, the water will not get down to the roots if you water 10 time a day with 1 gallon. It will evapoate before reaching the root system.
