Yes I have. The only time is when the electric motor shorted out. Most dishwasher undercarriges are made of plastic and if the motor shorts out while the cycle is on it can produce enough heat to cause a fire. This is usually caused by a small crack in the housing or the age of the dishwasher. The motor shorting out should cause the breaker system to kick and stop current to the motor but sometimes the short will not be that bad and the motor will just continue to rotate causing the heat to increase to levels high enough to start a fire.
