Most stuffed animals can only be cleaned on the outside surface with a damp cloth. Also, you could put the stuffed animals in a mesh laundry bag, put it in the dryer, and run on low for 10 minutes to kill any dust mites.

I throw them in the washing machine. When you drive them toss a sneaker in and it will keep them fluffy (but may make some noise clanking around).
