Do you know of any cities that have recently dealt with allowing or banning "urban" chickens?

I am looking for background on raising poultry (specifically chickens) within municipal boundaries. I know this is sort of a hot topic right now here on the east coast but wanted to see what was happening all over the U.S. Links to the stories would be wonderful.

I saw in the news recently that the city of Surrey, British Columbia is fighting a lady on this issue - she wants to keep her chickens and the city says no. The link to the website of the city of Surrey is http://www.surrey.ca/default.htm Here is a curious link to the issue http://www.cityfarmer.info/chickens-still-in-soup/

Indianapolis has never disallowed them, although some outlying subdivisions have. It's a growing movement here.
