I love John Lennon's Happy Xrismas(War is Over)most.
So this is Christmas and what have you done
Another year over and a new one just begun
And so this is Christmas. I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one the old and the young

A very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one without any fear

And so this is Christmas (war is over)
For weak and for strong (if you want it)
For rich and the poor ones (war is over)
The world is so wrong (now)
And so happy Christmas (war is over)
For black and for white (if you want it)
For yellow and red ones (war is over)
Let's stop all the fight (now)

A very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one without any fear

And so this is Christmas (war is over)
And what have we done (if you want it)
Another year over (war is over)
A new one just begun (now)
And so happy Christmas (war is over)
We hope you have fun (if you want it)
The near and the dear one (war is over)
The old and the young (now)

A very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one without any fear
War is over, if you want it, war is over, now

Happy Christmas

Santa Claus is Coming to Town is also OK..

One of my favourites is the Pogues - Fairytale of New York
A brilliant classic that doesn't get annoying and isn't over played!

John Lennon's "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)" would be my first choice, but since so many have already chosen it, my answer is my 2nd favourite - "River" by Joni Mitchell.

Silent Night is my all time favorite. There are many excellent renditions of it, Mannheim Steamroller, Josh Groban, and Enya come to mind. The song is so simple that most anyone can sing it or play it. Yet it still carries a lovely message to all who listen.

The Holly And The Ivy, because it sounds like Christmas in a castle:

O Holy Night, hands down. The line, "Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!" gets me every time. Depending on who sings it, I'll tear up a little. This is probably my favorite version of the song:

Carol of the Bells.

It sounds so... almost not Christmasy. It's like a little bit of Halloween creepiness slipped into an otherwise very cheery holiday.

Trans Siberian Orchestra: An Angle Came Down
A great modern song, but still with the right christmas message.
