I would like to awaken on Christmas morning to find three happy children under my tree. OK, not directly under the tree ... but as a result of what is under the tree. Nothing would give me greater satisfaction or pleasure this Christmas than to make my family happy.

This is the first year I've had a job making more cash than I need to live on, and I live alone, so it's not like I have a lot of expenses. I'm going to my parent's house for Christmas.. I know they aren't overflowing with disposable income, ever.
They always try to give me things I don't need; random useless things, which are expensive, just to make up to the year's budget.. Say they have 70 dollars left to spend, they'll buy me stupid things like a 40 dollars puzzle or a picture. I'm a college student, and those are ridiculous purchases to me. Who in their right mind buys a 40 dollar puzzle?
I'd be much happier without the outrageous puzzle, and let my parents keep their 40 dollars, than to have them waste the money on something I will likely never even open, and the get the guilt that comes along with it.
And since there is really nothing I want or need this year, I know all of my gifts will be pointless and unusable, just so they can say they got me $xxx dollars of gifts... I'd really much rather find nothing under the tree.
I prefer to give.

I sure could go for one of those job things... I picked a heck of a year to graduate. Maybe I should go get a Masters.
