How are you going to celebrate National Pi Day?

Congress has declared 3/14 as National Pi Day, in order to stimulate interest in math and science education.

My family is going to have some pie, because it's circular, yummy, and rhymes with pi. What you YOU going to do?

I teach middle school math, and I celebrated Pi Day early with my students. We made Pi Day cards and sang a Pi Day song. Here's the card I made. http://twitpic.com/222fg

Here's the song:

I may make a Pi Day pie later today for my husband because he's nerdy too. :)

I guess I'll have to celebrate it by making it an International Pi Day.

Maybe I'll practice some geometry for the GRE. And eat Pie. Pecan pie. Maybe key-lime pie. Or apple pie with a slice of cheddar cheese melted over the top. Or invent an alternative mathematical system based on a Pi of 3, which would only work in Indiana.

I plan on reading alternate proofs of e^(pi*i) + 1 = 0.

Just kidding. I'll probably tell my math-loving friends that it's pi day!
