Don't put to much confidence in the Sharks to win it all. Theyhave no leader or "heart" on the team like Stevie Y was to the RW. Clearly Thornton doesn't want the job, he has one speed. There is no True Grit in any of the players. Grier should be playing in the AHL at best. Cheech will be on waivers at the end of the season. Patty and Seto are trying, but they are ony 2 of 20 and can't do it themselves. Danny Boyle is a very good player and leaves it all on the ice when he plays, but Lucowich, "errorhoff" and Semenov make too many errors. Vlasic plays smart, but last year in the play-offs he got thrown around like a rag-doll. Blake and JR, well they have already seen their "better" days. We have some talent in Clowe, Michalek and Pavs, but they can't make-up for the overall short-comings of the team. Claude Lemeiux...what was Wilson thinking? Todd McLellen was the best man for the job and he has proved that, but he only drives the bus, the players supply all the horse-power, and this bus won't make it over the great big hill that is in front of them.

Look at the games vs. the Avs. and Coyotes this week. Couldn't get the job done! And Thursday night (fan appreciation night) they could have delivered the Presidents trophy at home as a great big "thank-you" to the fans and they faultered again. If they can't get it done during the regular season ( I know all the excuses, the travel, the injuries, etc., etc...) they sure won't get it done in the play-offs. They might get lucky and get to the 3rd round with home ice advantage they enjoy (and a few lucky bounces of the puck) this year, but when they meet Detroit, it's over. Go ahead and compare the two teams in all categories and see how the scales tilt to the Red Wings in all areas, especially heart and grit.

Hate to say it, but San Jose just isn't there yet and I have been a fan for all 19 years the franchise has been here. I am from Detroit, I use to go to the Olympia and grew up watching Gordie, Sid and Alex. Boy do I miss those days....

Gonna be a great play-off season. Happy to see the Bluejackets in there. Look for Motown vs. Beantown in the big one with the Red Wings going back to back again. What a great hockey town and what a great team from top to bottom.
